The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Augusto Karmel was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Rescate's zone, Osvaldo Loreto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dante Gines came out of the goal and Osvaldo Loreto tried to chip the ball over his head. The referee ignored Nikizanga FC's protests and gave Eulalio Rafel a yellow card for diving instead. In the 78th minute, Eulalio Rafel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Placido Gonchan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nikizanga FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
