The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Roncedo's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Placido Gonchan 2 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Maximilian Rosén made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacobo Montae in the 6th minute of play. Manuel Laurgain struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Ignacio Astudillo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nikizanga FC. Ignacio Astudillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Placido Gonchan, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Roncedo's zone, Placido Gonchan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ignacio Astudillo came out of the goal and Placido Gonchan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ignacio Astudillo was a little too slow when Placido Gonchan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 18th minute. The score was now 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Nikizanga FC's zone, Jacobo Montae stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maximilian Rosén came out of the goal and Jacobo Montae tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maximilian Rosén came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Roncedo's Nicanor Iyan. But to his dismay, Nicanor Iyan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 31st minute, Agustin Cordarin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Roncedo's zone, Placido Gonchan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ignacio Astudillo came out of the goal and Placido Gonchan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Osvaldo Loreto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th match minute, Roncedo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horacio Muc to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Placido Gonchan was the one to do the kick off. Osvaldo Loreto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Ignacio Astudillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
