Pudlemere United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Augusto Karmel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 72 minutes into the game, Rescate's Amado Maties nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Everardo Roano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Victoriano Richie managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pudlemere United's supporters rose to their feet, but Victoriano Richie was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dante Gines breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Victoriano Richie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Gines having to interfere. Dante Gines made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Roberto Nesto sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Rescate getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Rescate's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
