In the 11th minute of the match Roncedo got a corner. Pudlemere United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Moises Cloyo ran over to the corner to take the kick. When Roberto Nesto came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Pudlemere United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roberto Nesto couldn't finish the play. In the 19th match minute, Roncedo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustin Cordarin to maneuver through the defense. Roberto Nesto scored 0-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ignacio Astudillo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 31st minute, Victoriano Richie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Roncedo's Ignacio Astudillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victoriano Richie in the 33rd minute of play. If Victoriano Richie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 36 minutes, Maximiliano Bertran mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Roncedo and the Pudlemere United players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Roncedo getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Maximiliano Bertran hit a great ball. 40 minutes into the match, Roncedo's goal looked a bit too open when Roberto Nesto came free, but Ignacio Astudillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roberto Nesto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Ignacio Astudillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Roncedo's zone, Victoriano Richie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ignacio Astudillo came out of the goal and Victoriano Richie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Victoriano Richie was the one to do the kick off. After 53 minutes of play, Roncedo's Jacobo Montae made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Everardo Roano was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Pudlemere United's Gonzalo Thomas got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Nicanor Iyan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Silvestre Quinton fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pudlemere United's protests and gave Silvestre Quinton a yellow card for diving instead. Roberto Nesto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ignacio Astudillo having to interfere. Everardo Roano came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Roncedo's Jacobo Montae. But to his dismay, Jacobo Montae quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Nicanor Iyan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Everardo Roano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. When Victoriano Richie came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Pudlemere United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victoriano Richie couldn't finish the play. Victoriano Richie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ignacio Astudillo having to interfere. Roncedo's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
