Independiente's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ariel Theobald was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mario Hotz took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arsenio Barrionuevo. Ubaldo Mingo in the 35thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Joaquin Quinto, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ariel Maju recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mario Hotz was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute, Robustiano Lopez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ubaldo Mingo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. C.A. Independiente's defense didn't have a chance, in the 61st minute, when Augusto Izotz scored to the left of an out of position Arsenio Barrionuevo, making the score, 0-2.
