Real Córdoba FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Generoso Gartzea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. With a little luck, Real Córdoba FC's Alfonso Gomesano got control of the ball when Generoso Gartzea tried to sneak it across the goal line. Paulino Bento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. Real Córdoba FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gas Negro FC's Reynaldo Miliano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Gas Negro FC from getting a goal against them. In the 67th minute Fernando Berdaitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reynaldo Miliano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Generoso Gartzea might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alfonso Gomesano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Generoso Gartzea ran back to his position shaking his head. Fernando Berdaitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Reynaldo Miliano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Generoso Gartzea in the 83rd minute of play forced Real Córdoba FC's goalkeeper Alfonso Gomesano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eusebio Xabel during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Gas Negro FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
