If Amadeo Esquipula had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sijes AFC's Marciano Dorio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicanor Ibon in the 18th minute of play. Nicanor Ibon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nicanor Ibon in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marciano Dorio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rodolfo Napier's late challenge caught a Sijes AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rodolfo Napier helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Sijes AFC booed when La Gloriosa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodolfo Napier didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pastor Porfirio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amadeo Esquipula in the 33rd minute of the match. When Raul Servando fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Gloriosa's protests and gave Raul Servando a yellow card for diving instead. The crowd rose to their feet as La Gloriosa's Rene Arixo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marciano Dorio. That made the score 2-0 after 46 minutes of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nicanor Ibon made a kick off. In the 55th minute Rene Arixo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marciano Dorio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pastor Porfirio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amadeo Esquipula, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The La Gloriosa fans cheered their team off the field, for while Sijes AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
