After 4th play minutes Rafael Jerrald shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Paulino Lop and just under the crossbar into goal. Uñatuya's Candido Lucado got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paulino Lop made an important save on a dangerous shot by Severiano Lugo in the 14th minute. Fulgencio Resto kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Uñatuya's Eloy Calixto got a free kick in the 19th minute. Uñatuya's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Rafael Jerrald 22 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. Venancio Munio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roberto Palben's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Domingos Bartuelo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Venancio Munio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Placido Refugio's late challenge caught a Uñatuya's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Placido Refugio helped the player get up and apologised. If Roberto Palben had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Uñatuya's zone, Placido Refugio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulino Lop came out of the goal and Placido Refugio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 62nd minute, Gerardo Galindo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Venancio Munio was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. The supporters of Estudiantes Rio IV booed when Uñatuya was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerardo Galindo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 66th match minute, Uñatuya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Candido Lucado to maneuver through the defense. Estudiantes Rio IV's Severiano Lugo got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rafael Jerrald fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulino Lop having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Domingos Bartuelo got free with Venancio Munio in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 76th minute, Rafael Jerrald made a precise shot to the right of Paulino Lop. Uñatuya's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Rafael Jerrald sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Severiano Lugo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulino Lop having to interfere. Uñatuya's Roberto Palben got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 88 minutes, Rafael Jerrald managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Estudiantes Rio IV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rafael Jerrald was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 92 minutes into the game, Rafael Jerrald cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Paulino Lop was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Rafael Jerrald managed to get in a good position for a shot. Estudiantes Rio IV's supporters rose to their feet, but Rafael Jerrald was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulino Lop breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Estudiantes Rio IV had won after a very even match.
