If Damaso Tonio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Matute Fc's zone, Rafael Jerrald stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angelino Patrido came out of the goal and Rafael Jerrald tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Matute Fc's defense didn't have a chance, in the 28th minute, when Placido Refugio scored to the left of an out of position Angelino Patrido, making the score, 4-0. Matute Fc's Angelino Patrido proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Matute Fc from getting a goal against them. Angelino Patrido made an important save on a dangerous shot by Placido Refugio in the 39th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Matute Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Benigno Gomez came free, but Angelino Patrido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benigno Gomez in the 42nd minute of play forced Matute Fc's goalkeeper Angelino Patrido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute, Severiano Lugo fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Angelino Patrido, passed just outside the right post. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Damaso Tonio made the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes of play, Estudiantes Rio IV's Severiano Lugo made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Angelino Patrido was left in no man's land by his defense there! 56 minutes into the game, Benigno Gomez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Estudiantes Rio IV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Matute Fc the free kick. Benigno Gomez hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Angelino Patrido showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benigno Gomez, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. 73 minutes into the match, Matute Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Severiano Lugo came free, but Angelino Patrido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rafael Jerrald's late challenge caught a Matute Fc's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rafael Jerrald helped the player get up and apologised. 80 minutes into the match, Severiano Lugo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Angelino Patrido. Matute Fc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Severiano Lugo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. Angelino Patrido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leon Pirro in the 84th minute of the match.
