After a defensive mix-up in El Bicho Del Bichi's zone, Elvio Pelagius stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eriberto Velasco came out of the goal and Elvio Pelagius tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Severo Henric hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. The MLFC fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when MLFC's Santiago Medina looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. El Bicho Del Bichi's Filiberto Bizen got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 28 minutes into the match, El Bicho Del Bichi's goal looked a bit too open when Elvio Pelagius came free, but Eriberto Velasco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 30 minutes, Santiago Medina managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MLFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Santiago Medina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 36 minutes into the match, MLFC's goal looked a bit too open when Cleto Martxel came free, but Cristo Chaime reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Filiberto Bizen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristo Chaime having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Cleto Martxel managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Bicho Del Bichi's supporters rose to their feet, but Cleto Martxel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristo Chaime breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The wind increased when Elvio Pelagius made the kick off in the second half. Filiberto Bizen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cristo Chaime having to make a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eusebio Steven during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 55 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for El Bicho Del Bichi! Wilfredo Ulizes walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Santiago Medina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Eriberto Velasco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Elvio Pelagius came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the MLFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elvio Pelagius couldn't finish the play. The supporters of El Bicho Del Bichi booed when MLFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilfredo Ulizes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristo Chaime stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Filiberto Bizen's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Santiago Medina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Eriberto Velasco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Filiberto Bizen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 82 minutes into the match, El Bicho Del Bichi's goal looked a bit too open when Santiago Medina came free, but Eriberto Velasco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, El Bicho Del Bichi's goal looked a bit too open when Elvio Pelagius came free, but Eriberto Velasco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Elvio Pelagius notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of El Bicho Del Bichi's Eriberto Velasco. Eriberto Velasco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Santiago Medina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eriberto Velasco having to interfere. El Bicho Del Bichi's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
