After 10 played minutes, Estudiantes Rio IV's Victorio Tome shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Edgardo Nel came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Estudiantes Rio IV reached it. Venancio Munio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Aznar in the 15th minute of the match. Isaias Frantzes was extremely unlucky when he, in the 18th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Edgardo Nel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Jerrald, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Estudiantes Rio IV's Venancio Munio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Estudiantes Rio IV from getting a goal against them. In the 29th minute, Severiano Lugo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edgardo Nel was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Severiano Lugo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Rafael Jerrald had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rafael Jerrald fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgardo Nel having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Jaime Aznar fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Venancio Munio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isaias Frantzes in the 48th minute of the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jaime Aznar to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Severiano Lugo fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Edgardo Nel, passed just outside the right post. 59 minutes into the match, Estudiantes Rio IV's goal looked a bit too open when Isaias Frantzes came free, but Venancio Munio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th match minute, Estudiantes Rio IV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benigno Gomez to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Aznar in the 68th minute of play forced Estudiantes Rio IV's goalkeeper Venancio Munio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th minute Jaime Aznar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Venancio Munio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Venancio Munio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Aznar in the 78th minute of the match. Celedonio Jacob hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. When Severiano Lugo came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Estudiantes Rio IV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Severiano Lugo couldn't finish the play. Severiano Lugos short, quick shot in the 94thth minute got Edgardo Nel to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Estudiantes Rio IV played a much better game than La Remolacha Azucarera and deserved their victory. The La Remolacha Azucarera players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
