Modesto Oihenarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guillermo Sugoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Barrio Almagro were awarded a corner in the 94th minute after Clun Atletico River Plate's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Baldomiro Deunoro took the corner. Barrio Almagro's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
