After having played for 13 minutes, Wilfredo Cai managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After 15 minutes, Anier Solustiano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Plomer AFC and the E. de L.P. players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of E. de L.P. booed when Plomer AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anastasio Bertol didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Plomer AFC's goalkeeper Rodolfo Delfino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Eustacio Cesario recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 29 minutes into the match, Plomer AFC's Jairo Bixintxo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eduardo Orain narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 31 minutes into the match, E. de L.P.'s goal looked a bit too open when Eustacio Cesario came free, but Eduardo Orain reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Serafin Gumaro to make the kick off.
