Spectators: 7133 (Terracing: 5444, Seating: 1669, VIP seats: 20) Serafin Gumaro made the kick off and thus started the match. Angel Errando's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 3rdth minute, Eduardo Orain skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After having played for 10 minutes, Serafin Gumaro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. E. de L.P.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Serafin Gumaro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Guillermo Sugoi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barrio Almagro's supporters rose to their feet, but Guillermo Sugoi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eduardo Orain breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Guillermo Sugoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 17 played minutes Barrio Almagro got a freekick which was hit by Agustin Calvet. Damaso Jurdan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ulises Ekialde. Barrio Almagro's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in E. de L.P.'s zone, Guillermo Sugoi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eduardo Orain came out of the goal and Guillermo Sugoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. E. de L.P.'s Serafin Gumaro suffered a sprained foot after 23 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 24 minutes into the game, Edgardo Frances was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barrio Almagro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave E. de L.P. the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 23rd minute of the game. One of Barrio Almagro:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of E. de L.P.:s goal. The referee gave E. de L.P. a penalty, 26 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Damaso Jurdan, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Barrio Almagro's Ulises Ekialde. 1-1. When Wilfredo Cai came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the E. de L.P. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilfredo Cai couldn't finish the play. Through an outstanding action, after 34 minutes, Eduardo Orain successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Guillermo Sugoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Eduardo Orain took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulino Beturian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guillermo Sugoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th minute, Damaso Jurdan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Agustin Calvet's shot from long distance in the 44th minute was not bad at all, but E. de L.P.'s Eduardo Orain knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paulino Beturian to strike the kick off in the second half. Guillermo Sugoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 60th minute Barrio Almagro were awarded a corner. Baldomiro Deunoro went to the cornerflag to take it. Eduardo Orain showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guillermo Sugoi in the 65th minute of the match. In the 66th minute, Matias Sagrario hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eduardo Orain made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulino Beturian in the 72nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulino Beturian in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eduardo Orain saved E. de L.P. from getting behind. Eduardo Orain took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guillermo Sugoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 88 minutes into the match, Barrio Almagro's Baldomiro Deunoro broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 96 minutes into the match, E. de L.P.'s goal looked a bit too open when Mario Buinton came free, but Eduardo Orain reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Barrio Almagro players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
