After a defensive mix-up in Clun Atletico River Plate's zone, Guillermo Sugoi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Modesto Oihenarte came out of the goal and Guillermo Sugoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Paulino Beturian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Clun Atletico River Plate's Modesto Oihenarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guillermo Sugoi in the 28th minute of play. Clun Atletico River Plate's Pastor Kusko got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emanuel Dimo kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Ulises Ekialde was out of position in the 35 minute of play, and Elvio Figueroa capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Elvio Figueroa really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Modesto Oihenarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guillermo Sugoi in the 40th minute of the match. If Paulino Beturian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Modesto Oihenarte showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 51st match minute, Clun Atletico River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Constantino Jesco to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mario Buinton during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 54 played minutes Barrio Almagro got a freekick which was hit by Mario Buinton. In the 81st minute Paulino Beturian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Modesto Oihenarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 86th minute, Barrio Almagro's Paulino Beturian dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-3. If Paulino Beturian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guillermo Sugoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Modesto Oihenarte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
