After 2 played minutes Deportivo Junior got a freekick which was hit by Diego Rius. German Rameriz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carlos Senio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melquiades Ricart in the 11th minute of play forced Deportivo Junior's goalkeeper Faustino Eliu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Faustino Eliu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Esteban Anaya in the 13th minute of play. Roque Ledesma's late challenge caught a Deportivo Junior's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roque Ledesma helped the player get up and apologised. In the 15th minute, Roque Ledesma hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Guaymallen FC booed when Deportivo Junior was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alejandro Caetano didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Roque Ledesma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. German Rameriz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, German Rameriz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guaymallen FC's supporters rose to their feet, but German Rameriz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Faustino Eliu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Faustino Eliu came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Guaymallen FC's Roque Ledesma. But to his dismay, Roque Ledesma quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Esteban Anaya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Guaymallen FC's Melquiades Ricart got a free kick in the 39th minute. If Roque Ledesma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Faustino Eliu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of German Rameriz's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. The Deportivo Junior players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Guaymallen FC were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Clemente Galoer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Melquiades Ricart came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Guaymallen FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Melquiades Ricart couldn't finish the play. Esteban Anaya recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 54 minutes, Clemente Galoer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deportivo Junior and the Guaymallen FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Clemente Galoer kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Carlos Senio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when German Rameriz got free with Faustino Eliu in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Deportivo Junior's Faustino Eliu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo Junior from getting a goal against them. Federico Mateus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Faustino Eliu having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Guaymallen FC's Federico Mateus dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Deportivo Junior's goalkeeper Faustino Eliu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Eliseo Irrintzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Senio in the 72nd minute of the match. Melquiades Ricart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After recieving a nice pass, Guaymallen FC's German Rameriz tried to score from far away in the 78th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. German Rameriz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Faustino Eliu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Esteban Anaya got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jonas Ulizes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Faustino Eliu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 96 minutes into the game, Guaymallen FC's Esteban Anaya nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Faustino Eliu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Guaymallen FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
