Fermin Estefan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot by Augusto Luke from long distance, 35 minutes into the match, got Gaudencio Gilen's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Marlom Fútbol Club:s Gaudencio Gilen showed great skill when he stopped Augusto Luke:s penalty. Augusto Luke did an outstanding performance 47 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 2-1 to the right of an irritated Gaudencio Gilen in the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Delmar Tauro made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Niceto Goren's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fermin Estefan was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. Silvestre Belarmo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fermin Estefan having to interfere. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind CA Leones's goalkeeper Fermin Estefan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 75th play minutes Niceto Goren shot 2-2, a short shot which went by Fermin Estefan and just under the crossbar into goal. Niceto Goren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marlom Fútbol Club's Niceto Goren got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 91st minute Igor Evis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fermin Estefan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 93 minutes had been played when some careless play by CA Leones's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ciro Peruxu was slow to take the kick. During this time Marlom Fútbol Club's players had a chance to rest. Niceto Goren who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 94thth minute tested the skills of Fermin Estefan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 96th minute of the match Lino Ugaitz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fermin Estefan skillfully saved the ball. Niceto Goren who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 97thth minute tested the skills of Fermin Estefan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Marlom Fútbol Club players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
