Eliseo Azeari made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dario Aznar in the 36th minute of play. Gilberto Urdin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

In a very dangerous position, a player in Atahona fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 54th minute. Penalty! Aldo Kaxen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prospero Senon in the 61st minute of play. In the 65th match minute, Catenaccio FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustin Oliverios to maneuver through the defense. Nicasio Cordeiro hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Matias Pepillo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 69th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Aldo Kaxen. Atahona's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Godfredo Lucado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Mauricio Tibalt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Catenaccio FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mauricio Tibalt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aldo Kaxen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aldo Kaxen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Prospero Senon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 81 minutes into the game, Prospero Senon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Aldo Kaxen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Mauricio Tibalt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Catenaccio FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mauricio Tibalt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aldo Kaxen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Dario Aznar came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Atahona fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dario Aznar couldn't finish the play. Agustin Oliverios hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. Catenaccio FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
