An unexpectedly hard shot by Rosendo Mosen in the 11th minute of play forced Palacios's goalkeeper Gerardo Firmo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th minute, Globo de mi vida's Delmiro Corderun ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gerardo Firmo. Gerardo Firmo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Palacios's zone, Lucio Emmanuel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gerardo Firmo came out of the goal and Lucio Emmanuel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rafael Karmel kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Gerardo Firmo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rosendo Mosen, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After 23 minutes of play, Globo de mi vida's Delmiro Corderun made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gerardo Firmo was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Globo de mi vida's Rafael Karmel got a free kick in the 25th minute. Godfredo Kusko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celedonio Urtats, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Gerardo Firmo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rosendo Mosen in the 31st minute of the match. When Lucio Emmanuel came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Globo de mi vida fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucio Emmanuel couldn't finish the play. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Palacios's goalkeeper Gerardo Firmo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ignacio Edorta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Lucio Emmanuel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Globo de mi vida's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucio Emmanuel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gerardo Firmo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Felipe Refugio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Gerardo Firmo made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Palacios's zone, Lucio Emmanuel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gerardo Firmo came out of the goal and Lucio Emmanuel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lino Guzman made a kick off. Palacios's Gerardo Firmo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucio Emmanuel in the 51st minute of play. Rosendo Mosen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerardo Firmo having to interfere. Lucio Emmanuel might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gerardo Firmo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lucio Emmanuel ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 62nd minute Lucio Emmanuel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerardo Firmo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Rafael Karmel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Globo de mi vida's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rosendo Mosen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gerardo Firmo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucio Emmanuel in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 88th minute, Lucio Emmanuel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 93rd minute Ignacio Edorta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerardo Firmo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 95 minutes into the match, Lucio Emmanuel notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Palacios's Gerardo Firmo. Gerardo Firmo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
