In the 19th minute, Lucio Emmanuel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 24 minutes into the game, Adolfo Vigil was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. La Patria FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Globo de mi vida the free kick. Alfonso Luar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rosendo Mosen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Globo de mi vida fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lucio Emmanuel was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Ignacio Edorta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Globo de mi vida's supporters rose to their feet, but Ignacio Edorta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfonso Luar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in La Patria FC's zone, Rosendo Mosen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfonso Luar came out of the goal and Rosendo Mosen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lucio Emmanuel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 67th minute, Ignacio Edorta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Lucio Emmanuel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Globo de mi vida's Godfredo Kusko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benito Eguntsenti in the 84th minute of play. A wasted opportunity for Globo de mi vida. 88 minutes into the game, Rafael Karmel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Alfonso Luar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Globo de mi vida walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
