The crowd rose to their feet as Deportivo Fiorella's Leo Eriz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gerardo Firmo. That made the score 1-0 after 4 minutes of play. In the 12th minute Ermegildo Manny shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerardo Firmo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leo Eriz's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 19thth minute, Gerardo Firmo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 21stth minute of the game Celedonio Urtats who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Deportivo Fiorella's Bojkan Kadivec was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Leo Eriz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerardo Firmo having to interfere. With a little luck, Palacios's Gerardo Firmo got control of the ball when Guillermo Azeari tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leo Eriz in the 28th minute of play forced Palacios's goalkeeper Gerardo Firmo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lino Guzman kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Bojkan Kadivec showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saverio Rey in the 32nd minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lino Guzman was the one to do the kick off. After 53 minutes, Victoriano Piearres mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palacios and the Deportivo Fiorella players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ermegildo Manny scored 3-0 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gerardo Firmo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Palacios's zone, Leo Eriz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gerardo Firmo came out of the goal and Leo Eriz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lino Guzman charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lino Guzman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Palacios's Lino Guzman got a free kick in the 66th minute. If Ermegildo Manny had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Leo Eriz kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. If Ermegildo Manny had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Deportivo Fiorella made a substitution. Ermegildo Manny sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gerardo Firmo came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Deportivo Fiorella's Ermegildo Manny. But to his dismay, Ermegildo Manny quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Ermegildo Manny sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 97 minutes, Leo Eriz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Fiorella's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leo Eriz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Deportivo Fiorella's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
