The audience thought a goal was coming when Mauricio Tibalt got free with Justino Domenec in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 6 minutes into the game, Aslan AC's Teodosio Pagomari nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eliseo Azeari made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Eusebio Aimar charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eusebio Aimar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Aslan AC's Eusebio Aimar got a free kick in the 12th minute. Teodosio Pagomari fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliseo Azeari having to interfere. Catenaccio FC's Eliseo Azeari played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romeo Tano in the 21st minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Mauricio Tibalt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Catenaccio FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 27 minutes into the match, Aslan AC's Romeo Tano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eliseo Azeari narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Romeo Tano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Eliseo Azeari tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodosio Pagomari in the 38th minute of play forced Catenaccio FC's goalkeeper Eliseo Azeari to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eliseo Azeari took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodosio Pagomari, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 43rd minute, Godfredo Lucado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eliseo Azeari made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romeo Tano in the 46th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Romeo Tano in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eliseo Azeari saved Catenaccio FC from getting behind. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Eusebio Aimar was shown his second yellow card after 57 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. If Prospero Senon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 70 minutes into the game, Esteve Elorri cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Eliseo Azeari was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Romeo Tano fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aslan AC's protests and gave Romeo Tano a yellow card for diving instead. After 82 played minutes Aslan AC got a freekick which was hit by Romeo Tano. After a defensive mix-up in Aslan AC's zone, Prospero Senon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Justino Domenec came out of the goal and Prospero Senon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 84th match minute, Aslan AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esteve Elorri to maneuver through the defense. Justino Domenec showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauricio Tibalt, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Teodosio Pagomari received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Eliseo Azeari tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over Aslan AC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Catenaccio FC throughout the match.
