Celedonio Urtats might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eliseo Azeari. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Celedonio Urtats ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd rose to their feet as Lino Guzman kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Eliseo Azeari. That made the score 1-0 in the 9 minute of play. Gerardo Firmo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauricio Tibalt in the 12th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Palacios defense, Prospero Senon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gerardo Firmo. The Palacios fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gerardo Firmo should have stopped the shot. Gerardo Firmo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauricio Tibalt in the 19th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the game, Sebastian Emenon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Palacios's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Catenaccio FC the free kick. After 20 played minutes Palacios got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Emenon. Prospero Senon might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gerardo Firmo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Prospero Senon ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 24th minute, Agustin Oliverios hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 26 minutes into the match, Palacios's goal looked a bit too open when Prospero Senon came free, but Gerardo Firmo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Catenaccio FC's Godfredo Lucado got a free kick in the 30th minute. Eliseo Azeari took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lino Guzman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Lino Guzman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lino Guzman was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 37th minute. Palacios's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Prospero Senon during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Prospero Senon kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Celedonio Urtats received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Eliseo Azeari tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauricio Tibalt in the 45th minute of play forced Palacios's goalkeeper Gerardo Firmo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Palacios's Gerardo Firmo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Prospero Senon in the 54th minute of play. Mauricio Tibalt had several of the Palacios's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 59 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-2 score and a disappointed Gerardo Firmo as he didn't even see the shot coming. If Celedonio Urtats had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Celedonio Urtats came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Palacios fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celedonio Urtats couldn't finish the play. If Celedonio Urtats had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Palacios's Gerardo Firmo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Prospero Senon in the 89th minute of play. The supporters of Catenaccio FC booed when Palacios was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aquilino Tabby didn't get a good kick on the ball. Prospero Senon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 98th play minute Mauricio Tibalt came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Gerardo Firmo. 1-3. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Catenaccio FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
