Gerardo Firmo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Braulio Corderall in the 10th minute of play forced Palacios's goalkeeper Gerardo Firmo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eusebio Castulo in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gerardo Firmo saved Palacios from getting behind. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Palacios's goalkeeper Gerardo Firmo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Constantino Celio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerardo Firmo having to interfere. After 43 played minutes Palacios got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Emenon. Timoteo Cordeal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lino Guzman to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Lino Guzman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patricio Artal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Palacios's Gerardo Firmo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Palacios from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Braulio Corderall got free with Gerardo Firmo in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 72 minutes, Eusebio Castulo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Meer FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eusebio Castulo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Timoteo Cordeal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerardo Firmo having to interfere. After some careless play in the Meer FC defense, Saverio Rey kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Patricio Artal. The Meer FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Patricio Artal should have stopped the shot. In the 80th minute of the match, Braulio Corderall got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gerardo Firmo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 82nd minute, Braulio Corderall got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Braulio Corderall could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Gerardo Firmo made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Braulio Corderall got free with Gerardo Firmo in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Meer FC's Constantino Celio got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gerardo Firmo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Braulio Corderall in the 94th minute. If Braulio Corderall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Meer FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
