In the last second Fernando Frutos throw himself and got hold of the ball when Dante Ofelio in the 31stth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 31st match minute, RIvErPlATE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cosme Jerano to maneuver through the defense. Prospero Odilon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saul Janpier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37thth minute of the game Dante Ofelio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but RIvErPlATE's Fernando Frutos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 42 minutes into the match, RIvErPlATE's Arnoldo Salvino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Prospero Odilon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 44 minutes, Ruben Bemabe mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the La Aguada II and the RIvErPlATE players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of RIvErPlATE booed when La Aguada II was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruben Bemabe didn't get a good kick on the ball. RIvErPlATE were awarded a corner in the 47th minute after La Aguada II's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ciro Oihan took the corner. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Dante Ofelio made the kick off in the second half. If Arnoldo Salvino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Saul Janpier couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Arnoldo Salvino managed to get in a good position for a shot. RIvErPlATE's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnoldo Salvino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Prospero Odilon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Arnoldo Salvino came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the RIvErPlATE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnoldo Salvino couldn't finish the play. Domingos Gasteiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Fernando Frutos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
