Benny Rutten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquin Malvin in the 27th minute of play. Casimiro Montrell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paolo Clemencin in the 30th minute of the match. After 32 minutes, Victor Loi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bell Villeee and the C. A. Velez Sarsfield players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 32nd match minute, Bell Villeee was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victor Loi to maneuver through the defense. Arnulfo Caetano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Casimiro Montrell read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. Paolo Clemencin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Casimiro Montrell having to make a save. Arnulfo Caetano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rogelio Odilon kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Damian Ciano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Federico Baldovino to strike the kick off in the second half. If Federico Baldovino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Benny Rutten took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquin Malvin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 59 minutes into the game, Arnulfo Caetano lined in a short shot 0-1 behind a frustrated Casimiro Montrell. After some careless play in the C. A. Velez Sarsfield defense, Joaquin Malvin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benny Rutten. The C. A. Velez Sarsfield fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benny Rutten should have stopped the shot. Arnulfo Caetano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Casimiro Montrell having to interfere. Paolo Clemencin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice moves Federico Baldovino could shoot a difficult shot in the 80th minute, which Casimiro Montrell however easily saved by the left post. In the 84th minute, Federico Baldovino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Casimiro Montrell was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Paolo Clemencin succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-4 in the 88th playminute. Rogelio Odilon hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. The Bell Villeee fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. C. A. Velez Sarsfield were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
