Jesus Eztebe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Farias having to interfere. 30 minutes into the match, Barreal's Leandro Gonsalve sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Melchor Sandaili narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Barreal's Leandro Gonsalve got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Melchor Sandaili showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Larra, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. In the 53rd minute of the match, Jesus Eztebe got a very nice opportunity to score, but Emanuel Farias was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Melchor Sandaili stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emanuel Larra's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. Melchor Sandaili made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Larra in the 62nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Guillermo Millan during the 62nd minute. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emanuel Farias prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Barreal's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
