The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Freddy Feliu was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 3 minutes into the match. Esteban Mogel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ruy having to interfere. Jonathan Ruy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Esteban Mogel in the 10th minute of the match. In the 15th minute, Esteban Mogel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Ruy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Esteban Mogel in the 17th minute of play. Adrian Lorencio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camilo Blanco having to interfere. Guido Hernandez placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Esteban Mogel struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Jonathan Ruy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Empalme. Jonathan Ruy didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Esteban Mogel went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 42 minutes into the match, Club Morlaco's goal looked a bit too open when Esteban Mogel came free, but Jonathan Ruy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adrian Lorencio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Club Morlaco players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Empalme were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anselmo Indar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Romulo Maurino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Empalme getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Guido Hernandez hit a great ball. Marciano Uhin missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 56 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Camilo Blanco right hand side. Camilo Blanco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anselmo Indar in the 61st minute of the match. Hilario Venceslao's late challenge caught a Club Morlaco's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hilario Venceslao helped the player get up and apologised. After 62 played minutes Empalme got a freekick which was hit by Hilario Venceslao. 66 minutes into the game, Romulo Maurino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Empalme's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Morlaco the free kick. Everardo Lopes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ruy having to interfere. Jonathan Ruy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Esteban Mogel in the 82nd minute of the match. Everardo Lopes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th minute, Esteban Mogel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Empalme fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Empalme's goalkeeper Camilo Blanco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Empalme's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
