Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Desiderio Cordeara kicked off to start the match. Jacobo Rafe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saul Txaran in the 10th minute of the match. Guido Hernandez made a great header on Empalme's corner, it was just that Pujol AFC's Jacobo Rafe managed to reach the ball for a save. When Dante Lorencio fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pujol AFC's protests and gave Dante Lorencio a yellow card for diving instead. After 13 played minutes Pujol AFC got a freekick which was hit by Dante Lorencio. If Saul Txaran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Desiderio Cordeara struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Camilo Blanco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pujol AFC. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dante Lorencio in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Camilo Blanco saved Empalme from getting behind. If Desiderio Cordeara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Esteban Mogel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Rafe having to interfere. If Saul Txaran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dante Lorencio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camilo Blanco having to interfere. Empalme's Camilo Blanco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Desiderio Cordeara in the 35th minute of play. Esteban Mogel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Jacobo Rafe made a huge save. Esteban Mogel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Saul Txaran managed to get in a good position for a shot. Empalme's supporters rose to their feet, but Saul Txaran was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacobo Rafe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Saul Txaran to make the kick off. When Empalme's Esteban Mogel in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pujol AFC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pujol AFC's goalkeeper Jacobo Rafe, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Esteban Mogel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saul Txaran in the 70th minute of play forced Pujol AFC's goalkeeper Jacobo Rafe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Esteban Mogel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Rafe having to interfere. After 74 minutes of play, Empalme's Saul Txaran made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jacobo Rafe was left in no man's land by his defense there! Esteban Mogel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Jacobo Rafe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pujol AFC's goalkeeper Jacobo Rafe, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Saul Txaran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Pujol AFC's Jacobo Rafe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Esteban Mogel in the 90th minute of play. When Esteban Mogel came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Empalme fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Esteban Mogel couldn't finish the play.
