Eliseo Iliana started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute, Esteban Mogel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hilario Estebano was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Camilo Blanco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Norberto Gomesano in the 7th minute. Esteban Mogel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 11 minutes into the match, Ripamonti's goal looked a bit too open when Esteban Mogel came free, but Hilario Estebano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Empalme's Saul Txaran got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Norberto Gomesano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Camilo Blanco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hilario Estebano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saul Txaran, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Empalme's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Guido Hernandez in the 25th minute. In the 30th match minute, Empalme was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Everardo Lopes to maneuver through the defense. In the 31st minute Eliseo Iliana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Blanco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Esteban Mogel might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hilario Estebano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Esteban Mogel ran back to his position shaking his head. Esteban Mogel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hilario Estebano having to interfere. Empalme's Everardo Lopes suffered a concussion after 42 minutes and had to leave the field. In the 42nd match minute, Ripamonti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florentino Argi to maneuver through the defense. Hilario Estebano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Esteban Mogel in the 45th minute of play. Esteban Mogel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hilario Estebano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. During the 47th minute of the match Florentino Argi completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Florentino Argi a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Florentino Argi hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Esteban Mogel to make the kick off. 58 minutes into the game, Empalme's Esteban Mogel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hilario Estebano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Saul Txaran managed to get in a good position for a shot. Empalme's supporters rose to their feet, but Saul Txaran was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hilario Estebano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Norberto Gomesano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romulo Maurino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hilario Estebano having to interfere. Norberto Gomesano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Esteban Mogel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Hilario Estebano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Donato Rodas charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Donato Rodas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Empalme booed when Ripamonti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donato Rodas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Esteban Mogel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Hilario Estebano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Esteban Mogel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hilario Estebano having to interfere. Saul Txaran recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Esteban Mogel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Ripamonti fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Empalme were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
