In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Futalaufquen F.C.'s goalkeeper Ambrosio Toli, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 5 played minutes Futalaufquen F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Godofredo Abancens. Igor Cedro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santiago Chayo having to interfere. Ambrosio Toli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgilio Etor, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. If Godofredo Abancens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Godofredo Abancens's late challenge caught a Santamarina's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Godofredo Abancens helped the player get up and apologised. Santiago Chayo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Godofredo Abancens in the 21st minute of play. Igor Cedro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santiago Chayo having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Igor Cedro in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Santiago Chayo saved Santamarina from getting behind. Godofredo Abancens got his second yellow card in the match during the 27th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Godofredo Abancens hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. When Virgilio Etor came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Santamarina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Virgilio Etor couldn't finish the play. If Igor Cedro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ambrosio Toli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rodolfo Ramond in the 46th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Virgilio Etor was the one to do the kick off. Futalaufquen F.C.'s Ambrosio Toli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgilio Etor in the 52nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Futalaufquen F.C.'s Igor Cedro got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Simon Oxel kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodolfo Ramond in the 66th minute of play forced Futalaufquen F.C.'s goalkeeper Ambrosio Toli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th minute, Rodolfo Ramond got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ambrosio Toli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgilio Etor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Many of Futalaufquen F.C.'s supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Futalaufquen F.C. may have spent more time on the ball, but Santamarina were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
