Spectators: 7239 (Terracing: 5431, Seating: 1665, VIP seats: 143) Tio MIKE's Jorge Ugaitz started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Tio MIKE's goal looked a bit too open when Rodolfo Ramond came free, but Fidel Eyague reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alberto Michael received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Fidel Eyague tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alberto Michael's late challenge caught a Tio MIKE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alberto Michael helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Santamarina getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Alberto Michael hit a great ball. Santiago Chayo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jorge Ugaitz's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. The supporters of Santamarina booed when Tio MIKE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Ugaitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Santamarina's Santiago Chayo got control of the ball when Urbano Guillen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fidel Eyague stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Virgilio Etor's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Virgilio Etor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tio MIKE's Fidel Eyague played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgilio Etor in the 29th minute of play. Genaro Lleir hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. After having played for 32 minutes, Virgilio Etor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santamarina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Virgilio Etor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 34th minute Virgilio Etor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fidel Eyague saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 37th minute, Virgilio Etor ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fidel Eyague was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If Rodolfo Ramond had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Tio MIKE players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Santamarina were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Virgilio Etor made the kick off in the second half. Urbano Guillen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Urbano Guillen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Santiago Chayo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pastor Quinteros kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. If Urbano Guillen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Santamarina's Virgilio Etor in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tio MIKE's goalie prevented a goal. Santiago Chayo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Ugaitz in the 72nd minute of the match. 85 minutes into the match, Tio MIKE's goalkeeper Fidel Eyague had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rodolfo Ramond. 90 minutes into the match, Santamarina's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Ugaitz came free, but Santiago Chayo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Urbano Guillen struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Santiago Chayo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tio MIKE. Santamarina's Santiago Chayo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Urbano Guillen in the 96th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Santamarina had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
