Higinio Frasquito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Santiago Chayo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, TORTUGAS BERABEVU's Santiago Chayo threw himself towards the right post 23 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rafael Breogan, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The audience was convinced that Rafael Breogan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Santiago Chayo was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Breogan in the 40th minute of play forced Santamarina's goalkeeper Santiago Chayo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Santamarina's Santiago Chayo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Santamarina from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rafael Breogan in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Santiago Chayo saved Santamarina from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Breogan in the 48th minute of play forced Santamarina's goalkeeper Santiago Chayo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Virgilio Etor was the one to do the kick off.
