With a couple of smart ball manuevers Celestino Esquipula in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ruben Ramirez saved Universitario from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Universitario's Eliseo Mero got a free kick in the 8th minute. In the 10th minute, Celestino Esquipula ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ruben Ramirez was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Ruben Ramirez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Clis in the 14th minute of the match. If Fabian Sotero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A throw-in in the 17th minute of the game was made by Miguel Diaz with Alonzo Urbes as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 18 minutes into the match, Universitario's goal looked a bit too open when Celestino Esquipula came free, but Ruben Ramirez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Armando Clis hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Fabian Sotero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ruben Ramirez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Armando Clis went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Celestino Esquipula took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ruben Ramirez. Ruben Ramirez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Ruben Ramirez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodolfo Lugo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ruben Ramirez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celestino Esquipula in the 41st minute of the match. Celestino Esquipula took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ruben Ramirez. Ruben Ramirez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The wind increased when Fabian Sotero made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Armando Clis got free with Ruben Ramirez in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 56 minutes into the game, Celestino Esquipula recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ruben Ramirez. Celestino Esquipula showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. Celestino Esquipula fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruben Ramirez having to interfere. Ruben Ramirez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celestino Esquipula in the 65th minute of play. In the 67th minute Celestino Esquipula shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruben Ramirez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabian Sotero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Universitario's Eliseo Mero got a free kick in the 70th minute. Universitario's defense didn't have a chance, in the 73rd minute, when Celestino Esquipula scored to the left of an out of position Ruben Ramirez, making the score, 0-6. Ruben Ramirez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celestino Esquipula in the 78th minute of play. With a little luck, Universitario's Ruben Ramirez got control of the ball when Armando Clis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Universitario's Ruben Ramirez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celestino Esquipula in the 81st minute of play.
