Spectators: 7151 (Terracing: 5397, Seating: 1654, VIP seats: 100) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ramiro Raulo got the match started through his kick off. 7 minutes into the match, Felipe Gilen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ruben Ramirez. Universitario's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Felipe Gilen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Fabian Sotero kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Prudencio Blanco. That made the score 1-1 in the 14 minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Racing Club's goal looked a bit too open when Fabian Sotero came free, but Prudencio Blanco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th match minute, Racing Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felipe Gilen to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Universitario booed when Racing Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julian Txaran didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Felipe Gilen was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 24 minutes had been played. Teo Kismi kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Prudencio Blanco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Sotero in the 28th minute of play. 29 minutes into the game, Julian Txaran cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Ruben Ramirez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 32 minutes into the match, Teo Kismi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ruben Ramirez. Universitario's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Teo Kismi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Melchor Nisio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Prudencio Blanco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. Prudencio Blanco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabian Sotero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fabian Sotero to strike the kick off in the second half. If Fabian Sotero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabian Sotero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cornelio Txaran hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. After 68 minutes of play, Racing Club's Teo Kismi made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ruben Ramirez was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Racing Club's zone, Fabian Sotero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Prudencio Blanco came out of the goal and Fabian Sotero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Moises Arano's late challenge caught a Racing Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Moises Arano helped the player get up and apologised. Moises Arano kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Ruben Ramirez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Teo Kismi in the 77th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Teo Kismi got free with Ruben Ramirez in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 81 played minutes Universitario got a freekick which was hit by Moises Arano. 82 minutes into the match, Universitario's goalkeeper Ruben Ramirez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Teo Kismi. Prudencio Blanco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Sotero in the 83rd minute of play. Teo Kismi took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ruben Ramirez. Ruben Ramirez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. Chants of Racing Club echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Universitario had held the ball for most of the match.
