Venancio Toli's late challenge caught a Sarmiento AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Venancio Toli helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Algarrobal's Venancio Toli got a free kick in the 17th minute. The excitement rose when Sarmiento AFC's Florentino Herrera after 18 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Algarrobal's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 0-1. After 27 played minutes Sarmiento AFC got a freekick which was hit by Albano Ordono. After a defensive mix-up in Sarmiento AFC's zone, Honorio Bonadona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Godfredo Gumaro came out of the goal and Honorio Bonadona tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 33 minutes into the match, Sarmiento AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Damian Izotz came free, but Godfredo Gumaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Serafino Cordarrell came out of the goal and Godofredo Weather tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Sarmiento AFC's Leandro Fonda got a free kick in the 37th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Algarrobal's Jimeno Illart tried to score from far away in the 38th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Honorio Bonadona got free with Godfredo Gumaro in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Florentino Umbruso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafino Cordarrell having to interfere. In the 48th minute, Honorio Bonadona got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Damian Izotz was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Algarrobal booed when Sarmiento AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albano Ordono didn't get a good kick on the ball. 56 minutes into the match, Damian Izotz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Godfredo Gumaro. Sarmiento AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Damian Izotz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Godfredo Gumaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Honorio Bonadona in the 76th minute of the match. 77 minutes into the match, Damian Izotz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Godfredo Gumaro. Sarmiento AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
