The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Buenos Aires Sur booed when Pituil FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inocencio Estefan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Inocencio Estefan charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Inocencio Estefan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 5 minutes into the game, one of Pituil FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Buenos Aires Sur a penalty, 7 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Adan Bastia, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Pituil FC's Edgardo Semeno. 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Buenos Aires Sur's Generoso Dominix slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Edgardo Semeno. That made the score 2-0 after 10 minutes of play. If Felix Fonda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Generoso Dominix in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edgardo Semeno saved Pituil FC from getting behind. 23 minutes into the match, Pituil FC's goal looked a bit too open when Generoso Dominix came free, but Edgardo Semeno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Buenos Aires Sur booed when Pituil FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lázaro Raymond didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pituil FC's Edgardo Semeno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Generoso Dominix in the 41st minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Felix Fonda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Santos Urki in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Horacio Lain saved Buenos Aires Sur from getting behind. In the 47th minute Dante Artaldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horacio Lain saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Santos Urki stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Generoso Dominix in the 53rd minute of play forced Pituil FC's goalkeeper Edgardo Semeno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 57 minutes, Ariel Rioja mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Buenos Aires Sur and the Pituil FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 56 minutes into the game, one of Buenos Aires Sur:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The score was 2-1 after a penalty in the 58th minute, where Pituil FC:s Silverio Olentzaro tricked Buenos Aires Sur:s Horacio Lain with a difficult ball by the left post. Aristides Cordarryl kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Modesto Michael during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 70th minute, Felix Fonda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joel Atarrabi kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Santos Urki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edgardo Semeno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aristides Cordarryl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 87 minutes into the match, Pituil FC's Dante Artaldo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Horacio Lain narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Joel Atarrabi came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Buenos Aires Sur fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Atarrabi couldn't finish the play. If Felix Fonda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
