The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Eleuterio Mingo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Horacio Lain was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. Horacio Lain didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Maximino Quinito went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Eleuterio Mingo took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Horacio Lain. Horacio Lain dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Generoso Dominix's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bartosz Bereszynski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Eleuterio Mingo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Horacio Lain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Maximino Quinito made a precise shot to the right of Horacio Lain. Buenos Aires Sur's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Buenos Aires Sur's Horacio Lain played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eleuterio Mingo in the 39th minute of play. Horacio Lain showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximino Quinito in the 41st minute of the match. Maximino Quinito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horacio Lain having to interfere. After 46 played minutes Buenos Aires Sur got a freekick which was hit by Aristides Cordarryl. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Eleuterio Mingo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Horacio Lain made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eleuterio Mingo got free with Horacio Lain in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 54th minute Maximino Quinito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horacio Lain saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maximino Quinito in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Horacio Lain saved Buenos Aires Sur from getting behind. Horacio Lain made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximino Quinito in the 61st minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, Eleuterio Mingo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Horacio Lain. Buenos Aires Sur's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eleuterio Mingo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Thanks to some nice moves Eleuterio Mingo could shoot a difficult shot in the 66th minute, which Horacio Lain however easily saved by the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Maximino Quinito kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Horacio Lain. That made the score 1-5 in the 70 minute of play. Eleuterio Mingo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 73rdth minute tested the skills of Horacio Lain when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Buenos Aires Sur's Horacio Lain played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximino Quinito in the 74th minute of play. Bartosz Bereszynski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Generoso Dominix's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. Maximino Quinito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Camilo Salbatore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Horacio Lain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maximino Quinito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horacio Lain having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Eleuterio Mingo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eleuterio Mingo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Horacio Lain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute Maximino Quinito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horacio Lain saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tartagal's Eleuterio Mingo got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match was over Tartagal could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Buenos Aires Sur throughout the match.
