Reinulf's supporters rose to their feet, but Samuel Chorche was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abel Onbera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arturo Rosio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nestor Tonete, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Reinulf's zone, Nestor Tonete stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arturo Rosio came out of the goal and Nestor Tonete tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arturo Rosio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Abel Onbera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Chorche in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 83 minutes into the match, Embarcación's goal looked a bit too open when Samuel Chorche came free, but Abel Onbera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 88 played minutes Reinulf got a freekick which was hit by Faustino Cordero. A collision led to Reinulf getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Apolo Felo hit a great ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Embarcación walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
