Old Moonchester
Spectators: 5145 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 145) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Miguel Vimaro started the match with the kick off. Serafino Oliveiro kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. In the 7th match minute, Esmeralda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Uriel Frichoso to maneuver through the defense. Esmeralda's Tomás Orzaize played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Vimaro in the 11th minute of play. Godofredo Cai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Tomás Orzaize tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 15 minutes into the match, Esmeralda's goalkeeper Tomás Orzaize had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maximiliano Adrio. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miguel Vimaro in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tomás Orzaize saved Esmeralda from getting behind. Celedonio Filipo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amancio Veremundo, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. The supporters of Esmeralda booed when Moonchester FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erasmo Frascuelo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Miguel Vimaros short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Tomás Orzaize to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nemesio Raulo in the 31st minute of play forced Moonchester FC's goalkeeper Celedonio Filipo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miguel Vimaro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 34thth minute tested the skills of Tomás Orzaize when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 35 minutes into the match, Moonchester FC's Eleuterio Elivareo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tomás Orzaize narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Melchor Bertol's late challenge caught a Moonchester FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Melchor Bertol helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Esmeralda getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Melchor Bertol hit a great ball. Miguel Vimaro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 40thth minute tested the skills of Tomás Orzaize when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Maximiliano Adrio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomás Orzaize having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Miguel Vimaro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eleuterio Elivareo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Serafino Oliveiro was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Esmeralda's Melchor Bertol got a free kick in the 51st minute. Tomás Orzaize stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Miguel Vimaro's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Maximiliano Adrio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Moonchester FC's Miguel Vimaro got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Miguel Vimaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd minute, Moonchester FC's Maximiliano Adrio seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Maximiliano Adrio the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Moonchester FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Maximiliano Adrio had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 72nd minute, Maximiliano Adrio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Uriel Frichoso took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 74th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Celedonio Filipo. Moonchester FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Godofredo Cai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomás Orzaize having to interfere. After 77 played minutes Esmeralda got a freekick which was hit by Melchor Bertol. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Esmeralda's goalkeeper Tomás Orzaize, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Celedonio Filipo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nemesio Raulo, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. If Miguel Vimaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Miguel Vimaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Tomás Orzaize tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roman Perico received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Tomás Orzaize tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roman Perico might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tomás Orzaize. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Roman Perico ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Miguel Vimaro in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tomás Orzaize prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Moonchester FC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Esmeralda to win.
