In the 7th minute Manuel Oro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Villaverde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manuel Oro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manuel Oro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Villaverde having to interfere. Wankers AC's Hugo Villaverde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Oro in the 21st minute of play. Hugo Villaverde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaudencio Baleren, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Gaudencio Baleren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Manuel Oro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28th minute, Manuel Oro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Wankers AC's goalkeeper Hugo Villaverde, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 34thth minute of the game Claud Caniggia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los Naufragos's Aldo Salomone was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Wankers AC's Nereo Duardo got a free kick in the 35th minute. 37 minutes into the match, Wankers AC's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Oro came free, but Hugo Villaverde reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nereo Duardo scored 1-1 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aldo Salomone, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Manuel Oro made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nereo Duardo in the 66th minute of play forced Los Naufragos's goalkeeper Aldo Salomone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th minute, Claud Caniggia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hugo Villaverde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaudencio Baleren, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Isidoro Vitin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hugo Villaverde made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gaudencio Baleren in the 78th minute. Nereo Duardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 85 minutes of play, Wankers AC's Claud Caniggia made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aldo Salomone was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nereo Duardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Los Naufragos getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Bonifacio Erruki hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Ambrosio Mergildo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wankers AC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ambrosio Mergildo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aldo Salomone breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match clock showed 97 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Claud Caniggia sped through Los Naufragos's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Aldo Salomone. When the referee ended the match the Wankers AC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
