The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jonatan Sagrario went to the wrong direction when Paulo Sengrat was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Jonatan Sagrario showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Epifanio Gerazan in the 27th minute of the match. When Club Atletico Tucuman's Nereo Mederi in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Club Atletico Tucuman's Nicasio Mogel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Club Atletico Tucuman from getting a goal against them. In the 37th match minute, Club Atletico Tucuman was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgardo Peter to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Canalejas FC booed when Club Atletico Tucuman was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paulo Indar to make the kick off. Jonatan Sagrario made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Epifanio Gerazan sent off a good shot on target. If Paulo Indar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nereo Mederi in the 59th minute of play forced Canalejas FC's goalkeeper Jonatan Sagrario to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Nereo Mederi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nereo Mederi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonatan Sagrario read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. Nicasio Mogel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Indar in the 91st minute of the match. 92 minutes into the game, Canalejas FC's Paulo Indar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nicasio Mogel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1.
