After some careless play in the Quilmes FC defense, Dionisio Laurin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Prudencio Rioja. The Quilmes FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Prudencio Rioja should have stopped the shot. Erubiel Vistruario showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cipriano Arnas in the 18th minute of the match. If Cristo Columbo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 29th minute, Ramiro Nalo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Prudencio Rioja was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristo Columbo in the 34th minute of play forced Quilmes FC's goalkeeper Prudencio Rioja to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Prudencio Rioja made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristo Columbo in the 36th minute of play. Dionisio Laurin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prudencio Rioja having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristo Columbo in the 45th minute of play forced Quilmes FC's goalkeeper Prudencio Rioja to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Quilmes FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Fantasmas del Caribe were winning 0-3.

In the 88th minute Cipriano Arnas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erubiel Vistruario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Fantasmas del Caribe left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Quilmes FC.
