Spectators: 6663 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jose Henry started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Joaquín F.C.'s goalkeeper Luisito Gagriel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anselmo Chano. The supporters of Lechuza booed when Joaquín F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gervasio Leguizamón didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Lechuza's Luisito Gagriel threw himself towards the right post 11 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Adolfo Polo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 15 minutes into the game, Adolfo Polo lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Luisito Gagriel. If Adolfo Polo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabricio Horados short, quick shot in the 24thth minute got Luisito Gagriel to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Luisito Gagriel came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Lechuza's Fabricio Horado. But to his dismay, Fabricio Horado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Luisito Gagriel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabricio Horado in the 30th minute. Jose Henry received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Leandro Hibai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leandro Hibai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jose Henry, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Fabricio Horado came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Lechuza fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabricio Horado couldn't finish the play. Fabricio Horado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luisito Gagriel having to interfere. Adolfo Polo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luisito Gagriel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play.

After 66 played minutes Joaquín F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Ambrosio Bermudez. In the 68th match minute, Joaquín F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ambrosio Bermudez to maneuver through the defense. Fabricio Horado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 88 minutes, Adolfo Polo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lechuza's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adolfo Polo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabricio Horado in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luisito Gagriel saved Joaquín F.C. from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gervasio Leguizamón in the 94th minute of play forced Lechuza's goalkeeper Leandro Hibai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Lechuza fans cheered their team off the field, for while Joaquín F.C. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
