When Reynaldo Nastasio came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Caca de Mono FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reynaldo Nastasio couldn't finish the play. Caca de Mono FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Augusto Silbestre in the 11th minute. The corner led Caca de Mono FC's Honorio Urtsin to fire away a dangerous shot which Saul Quin despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Dario Marques struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Saul Quin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caca de Mono FC. Reynaldo Nastasio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Saul Quin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22nd match minute, Caca de Mono FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edelmiro Montay to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Diego Marado booed when Caca de Mono FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elvio Barbosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Rafael Pello from long distance, 26 minutes into the match, got Godfredo Ruisko's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Gaston Sansone hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Diego Marado's zone, Reynaldo Nastasio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Saul Quin came out of the goal and Reynaldo Nastasio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Horacio Lucila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Godfredo Ruisko having to interfere. In the 41st minute, Santos Rozarius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Paulino Sagrario managed to get in a good position for a shot. Diego Marado's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulino Sagrario was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Godfredo Ruisko breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Elvio Barbosa kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Paulino Sagrario sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Diego Marado's Vinicio Reyes got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulino Sagrario in the 64th minute of play forced Caca de Mono FC's goalkeeper Godfredo Ruisko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th play minute Dario Marques came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Saul Quin. 0-1. A collision led to Caca de Mono FC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Edelmiro Montay hit a great ball. After having played for 72 minutes, Horacio Lucila managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Diego Marado's supporters crossed their fingers, but Horacio Lucila was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 76 minutes into the match, Caca de Mono FC's goal looked a bit too open when Paulino Sagrario came free, but Godfredo Ruisko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76th minute, Edelmiro Montay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Horacio Lucila blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Godfredo Ruisko having to make a save. After some careless play in the Caca de Mono FC defense, Paulino Sagrario kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Godfredo Ruisko. The Caca de Mono FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Godfredo Ruisko should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Reynaldo Nastasio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Saul Quin. That made the score 1-2 in the 83 minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, Diego Marado's goal looked a bit too open when Reynaldo Nastasio came free, but Saul Quin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Saul Quin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reynaldo Nastasio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Diego Marado's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The Caca de Mono FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Caca de Mono FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
