Cristobal Lucila showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ariel Obeko in the 7th minute of the match. Hipolito Elizardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jaime Machado having to interfere. Herminio Loco's late challenge caught a Isaac FC.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Herminio Loco helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Balboa FC's Herminio Loco got a free kick in the 12th minute. Ariel Obeko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Cristobal Lucila tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Isaac FC.'s Feliciano Feo got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Herminio Loco got his second yellow card in the match during the 27th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Herminio Loco kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Ariel Obeko managed to get in a good position for a shot. Balboa FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ariel Obeko was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristobal Lucila breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hipolito Elizardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jaime Machado having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adrian Cresenciano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hipolito Elizardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Jaime Machado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 56th minute, Hipolito Elizardo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jaime Machado was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. If Hipolito Elizardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adrian Cresenciano was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 65th minute. Balboa FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Maximo Claus struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Cristobal Lucila didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Balboa FC. A collision led to Isaac FC. getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Honorio Chucho hit a great ball. Cristobal Lucila made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Adrian Cresenciano sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Isaac FC.'s zone, Adrian Cresenciano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristobal Lucila came out of the goal and Adrian Cresenciano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
