Adrian Cresenciano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saul Quin having to interfere. When Paulino Sagrario came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Diego Marado fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulino Sagrario couldn't finish the play. 18 minutes into the match, Adrian Cresenciano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Saul Quin. Diego Marado's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adrian Cresenciano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 22 minutes into the match, Diego Marado's goalkeeper Saul Quin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adrian Cresenciano. 28 minutes into the match, Diego Marado's Paulino Sagrario sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jaime Machado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Diego Marado's Saul Quin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Diego Marado from getting a goal against them. Balboa FC's Jaime Machado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horacio Lucila in the 33rd minute of play. Maximo Claus didn't quite understand what happened when in the 49 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Horacio Lucila to strike the kick off in the second half. Maximo Claus's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Saul Quin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 99th minute of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
