Jairo Medero didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paulino Sagrario went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Chaparro's Jairo Medero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vinicio Reyes in the 11th minute of play. Jairo Medero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horacio Lucila, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th match minute, Chaparro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guido Maiorga to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulino Sagrario in the 16th minute of play forced Chaparro's goalkeeper Jairo Medero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Chaparro's Celedonio Perpinya got a free kick in the 18th minute. If Vinicio Reyes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jairo Medero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horacio Lucila in the 22nd minute of the match. 23 minutes into the game, Marcelino Matai was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chaparro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Diego Marado the free kick. Chaparro's Jairo Medero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulino Sagrario in the 27th minute of play. Saul Quin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fermin Cugat in the 30th minute of play. In the 38th minute, Guido Maiorga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rafael Pello took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 39th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jairo Medero. Chaparro's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 41 minutes into the game, Horacio Lucila cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Jairo Medero was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Chaparro getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Celedonio Perpinya hit a great ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Horacio Lucila to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Paulino Sagrario reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jairo Medero. The goal made the score 0-5. Cayetano Nayely hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. After 62 played minutes Diego Marado got a freekick which was hit by Gaston Sansone. When Gaston Sansone was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 67 minutes had been played. In the 67th minute, Gaston Sansone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Marcelino Matai managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chaparro's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcelino Matai was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Saul Quin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Paulino Sagrario who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 74thth minute tested the skills of Jairo Medero when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Jairo Medero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vinicio Reyes in the 76th minute of play. Paulino Sagrario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jairo Medero having to interfere. If Marcelino Matai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chaparro's attentive Marcelino Matai managed to snatch the ball when Rafael Pello made a throw-in in the 85th minute of the game. In the 88th minute Vinicio Reyes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jairo Medero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulino Sagrario got free with Jairo Medero in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
