Felipe Bernard made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 15th minute, Victorino Claus left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deportivo Villa Bosch fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Gualterio Olayo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabian Theodore in the 21st minute of the match. 22 minutes into the game, one of PRINCIPE ALI:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. If Victorino Claus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 30 minutes, Marcelo Liberto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the PRINCIPE ALI and the Deportivo Villa Bosch players grew even worse after the yellow card. After having played for 37 minutes, Victorino Claus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Villa Bosch's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victorino Claus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 39thth minute of the game Celso Ritchie who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but PRINCIPE ALI's Felipe Bernard was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Celso Ritchie came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Deportivo Villa Bosch fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celso Ritchie couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Victorino Claus managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Villa Bosch's supporters rose to their feet, but Victorino Claus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Felipe Bernard breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Deportivo Villa Bosch were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Celso Ritchie to make the kick off. Victorino Claus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Felipe Bernard made a huge save. Victorino Claus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Felipe Bernard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Virgilio Bizen came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the PRINCIPE ALI fans jumped to their feet. Celso Ritchie might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Felipe Bernard. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Celso Ritchie ran back to his position shaking his head. Victorino Claus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felipe Bernard having to interfere. In the 89th minute Virgilio Bizen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gualterio Olayo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Serafin Bartoli in the 93rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by PRINCIPE ALI's Marcelo Liberto. Celso Ritchie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the final whistle sounded Deportivo Villa Bosch left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than PRINCIPE ALI.
