When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gregorio Orlanda made a kick off. Toro y Pampa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matias Beltran was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Toro y Pampa's Lucio Franco slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Aurelio Beti. That made the score 1-1 after 58 minutes of play. If Efrain Cresconio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matias Beltran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Aurelio Beti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
